A good day to all. I was just wondering if I could get into Berekely with this academic profile.

State [Unweighted] Cumulative GPA: 3.8444 (4.0 scale)
Academic Core GPA: 4.25
Weighted Cumul. GPA: 4.7667
Class Ranking: 3 out of 308
Test Scores: I have not yet taken the SAT nor the ACT, but I am sure my sat scores will range from 1900-200, and my SAT will be about 28.

An SAT of 28 is absolutely horrible. You defied the system and got a score that isn't possible. Or is it genius? :-)

Assuming you meant ACT, you have an okay shot at Berkeley based only on academic criteria. It's not out of reach, but your scores aren't very impressive based on the caliber of the school.

Your class rank and gpa are good for Berkeley. If you have other qualities to make up for average scores, I would say you are a strong applicant.

Well, I haven't taken the tests yet. I thought the highest on the ACT was a 30, but I just found out it was a 36. I should get in the 30s since that's the case :D

Yes, of course you could. My friend's daughter got in with similar GPA, dreadful SAT 1 scores, great SAT 2 scores, and what I would consider, subjectively, as an award winning essay. Another friend's daughter with a severe learning disability got in (and is graduating this summer). Of course, if you don't apply, you have zero chance.

SAT 2 are subject tests. They test a certain subject, like literature, US history, math, the sciences, and the foreign languages. They test what you learned in the class. Berkeley requires 2 subject tests.

If you live in California, then good chances. If you don't, then it'll be tougher and could depend on your actual SAT scores.

Btw, it's the University of California at Berkeley, not University of Berkeley.

 To get a 800 on the SAT Math, do you need to get every signle question right? I noticed that there are a few people who claim to have gotten an 800! Damn!

A 1900-2000 is sorta low for Berkeley. Aim for 2100-2200. Further, we'd need to see your ECs, awards/honors, and other factors to give you an accurate response.

Above all, at least get the damned name of the university right: the University of California, Berkeley (or UC Berkeley, or Cal, or just Berkeley) -- not "the University of Berkeley."

Also, you don't need to get every question right to get an 800 on the math SAT. There are curves, I believe.

Kyledavid, you don't need to be so rude. It was a mistake! I have never said it incorrectly before. I think I would know the name of the colollege I would want to attend. i was side-tracked. Ugh! So rude!
