<p>ECs—4 year basketball(2 year letter), 4 year cross country(1 year letter) at a 5A school with 2600+ students, National Merit Qualifier(waiting to see if it is commended scholar or semifinalist, probably just commended) NHS, maybe 60+ hrs community service, worked on and off for 2 years at baskin robbins and refereed youth basketball, aau nationals every summer, cerebrals society member (not sure if that even counts)</p>
<p>I think your EC’s are fine and you have great SAT but why not to take once more and maybe 2 or 3 SAT I? It will improve your changes not only at UBC but also to highly selective big names in USA. Merit scholarship at UBC is based on GPA and SAT scores so although your SAT is solid i think your GPA might not be enough to get anything at all but better you check UBC WEB site for information on it…by the way UBC factors AP grades to calculate your final GPA but the results must get there during the admissions process…</p>
