Could i get into cooper union in two years.

So i am a sophmore this year. I am interested in applying to Cooper Union's Civil engineering program as a senior. Last year I had a 3.8 gpa and this year i have a 4.0 UW GPA which i hope to maintain over the next couple of years. Within my School district I am labeled as gifted and will receive a corresponding sticker on my diploma. I take U.S. History AP and I.B. Precalculus this year. When i graduate high school i will have taken calculus 2. I am enrolled in an I.B. school so i will graduate high school with an IB middle years program certificate and an I.B. diploma(requires 6's or 7's on exam). My current psat scores are around 1800 but i hope to have them around 22-2300 by next year's SAT season. I will have taken my SAT II in Math 1 Math 2 and Physics and plan to score in the high 700's on each of them. I plan to take AP exams in Physics, US History and Calculus and score 4's and 5's on each of them. In terms of extra curricular i am currently participating in the west point civil engineering bridge contest and I also participate in a civil engineering mentor ship called ACE where i visit different firms and places to learn about the profession. I also learn the basics of the profesion as well as work on my own mock project. I am currently the captain of my school's tennis team. I also participate in AACAS. A leadership council for african american gifted students who work on projects and other things to help other african american gifted students or to encourage others to work to become gifted.

Come back again in 2 years. Right now, all you have is ONE year of high school completed. All of the “stats” you listed in your post are “I hope to have…” or “I plan to take…” or “I plan to score…” At best, chances threads are speculative, but in this case, even more so, since there is no real basis on which to judge.

You certainly do seem to be on the right track, but you still have several years to go. So concentrate on doing the very best you can in your high school classes and on standardized tests. Challenge yourself; participate in ECs. As you know, Cooper Union is VERY VERY selective, so you need to be at the top of your game to be a competitive applicant. Good luck!
