Could I get into Duke?

I am a Junior in HS planning on going into Physical Therapy
GPA unweighted: 3.0/ 3.6 weighted
AP Courses: 7
AP World History

AP Statistics
I will graduate HS with 36 college credits from UW Oshkosh, I am enrolled to take Spanish and English there my senior year.
Awards: UW Greenbay Outstanding civic and academic achievements
Extracurriculars:

Soccer (9th, 10th)
Volunteer at the hospital once a week 4 hours (for 1 year so far)
Volunteer at local elementary school big sister program (for 1 year so far)

I don’t know if it matters, but my parents are both refugees and I am a first generation American (I have 4 older siblings that went to college) I also have taken honors English my freshmen and sophomore year. I also started a model United Nations club at my school, and will attend a selective state conference for girls interested in government.

A lot will depend on how well you do on SATs. But your GPA is pretty low. Probably too low to be competitive at Duke.

What is the return on investment you would expect with a physical therapy degree from Duke?

With that uw GPA…no. There will be first gen kids with much higher.

I don’t want to be harsh, but After this season, I think we need to be more “real” with our answers!

^There is no undergraduate physical therapy program at Duke. In fact, there are no majors even close to that:

These days, most, if not all, physical therapy programs are DPT, so the undergrad track would be pre-health (with major in whatever area desired).
