Could I get into Harvard?

Hey guys I am a junior and I will be applying to the school in the fall. I had a shaky freshman year and got like 85s. I have been in all honors classes since the beginning of freshman year and I also have been taking AP classes since sophomore year. I have a straight 106 average since the beginning of sophomore year. I have been on Student Government 3 years being President of my class. I also have been on the Newspaper two years and also have been in the Speech and Debate Club for three years. I have been on football for threeyears, 2x varsity letterwinner, playing for the freshman and JV team in freshman year, and for varsity for sophomore and junior year. I was a captain junior year in football and the League and Team MVP. I was selected All- State First Team. I was All - League Sophomore Year and Junior Year. I have been a 3x varsity letterwinner, 2x Catholic State Champion, 1x Public State Champion, And 2x Captain on varsity wrestling. I have also been on baseball 3 years playinf for freshman team in freshman year and for the next two years I played varsity. I was a 2x League MVP and a 2x Team Captain. I also am being very heavily recruited by the football, wrestling, and baseball teams. I will be playing football and baseball. I am a a member of Habitat for Humanity and am an intern at an AIDS center and a prestigous hospital. I have 3 published works of literature in amateur writing magazines. I am a member of the National Honors Society. I am being extremely heavily recruited by these coaches and I also have been said to be a perennial first or second round pick in the 2012 MLB Draft. I am white and both parents are doctors. I would be majoring in political science.

All I can honestly say is just for you to apply anyway and see what happens. it’s impossible to predict whether you can/cant get in.
i applied thinking i would most definately be rejected and ended up being waitlisted and now im waiting, so id give it a shot anyway.

good luck during senior year!

Once you have your SAT or ACT, plus two SAT II scores, we can better predict your chances. If you are interested in playing baseball for H, contact the coach, and fill out the online questionnaire for recruits at the athletic website.

If you have Division I athetic skills (and the college needs your position), that is great hook for the Ivies. Good luck.

You should check out the “Athletic Recruits” forum here on CC. Good information there about how to get in touch with coaches. And if you’re primarily a baseball player, this month is it–your senior season will start after the admissions envelopes go out next spring. There are showcases in the summer, but better get hopping on those.

If your profile is for real ( and I gotta say–it’s such a knockout that I still think you might be goofing), I can’t see you NOT getting a baseball (or football) likely letter to Harvard or any other Ivy. If you’re in the top 10% of your class and score just respectably on your SATs (like maybe around 1300) you would be golden if you’re truly a likely high draft pick in MLB.

Nah, don’t even bother.

yessssssss^
