I have recently got my AP Euro exam score in my sophomore year and I got a 2. Will I still have a chance at MIT?
I have a 4.13 GPA I am the president of the Global Action Club I am in Student Council and Key Club I am going to join National Honors Society and Academic Decathlon next year I was selected for a membership for the National Society of High School Scholars I am going to volunteer in music therapy for autistic children for my senior project because my brother is also autistic I will be taking AP US History, AP Calc, AP Bio, Honors English Language Arts, and Spanish 3 next year Also, I am a first generation Nigerian American.
AP scores count for very little in college admissions, but everyone needs to have a balanced list of reach, match, and safety schools. There are no guarantees for anyone applying to a school as selective as MIT. Make sure you don’t pin all your hopes on one dream school.
MIT doesn’t look at your AP scores, so you “could” still get in.
I also wanted to apply to these schools as well.
“Princeton, Yale, UPenn, Columbia, Northwestern, Duke, UNC, Vanderbilt, John Hopkins, Boston University, University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, American University”
My safety schools are Temple, Drexel, and Villanova
Dream Schools: MIT, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, and University of Pennsylvania
Reach Schools: John Hopkins, Vanderbilt, Duke, UNC, University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, Northwestern, Boston University, Georgetown, American University, Northeastern and Emory University.
Safety Schools: Drexel University, Temple University and Villanova University
Villanova is not a safety, it is a match.
True, thank you
Run the NPC. Find out what you can afford. Good luck!
