I would be extremely grateful to anyone who takes the time to read this through! :)

I'm trying really hard to cut down colleges from my list. I only want to apply to Princeton if my chances are realistic enough. If you don't think I have a realistic chance, be honest!!

This is my r

“-First generation college student. Mother is a widow. (My father attended Stanford but took his life as a senior. He never knew of my mother’s pregnancy with me.)”

Are you sure you still count as first generation?

Being first generation + low income is a hook, and you do have a shot.

randombetch I’m not 100% sure about the first generation part, but an admissions officer once told me he though I was. If anyone knows about this, I would love to remove the doubt.

and thanks for the replies!!

any other opinions? how are my chances looking?

How did the APs go? If you have some good scores that should help a lot since colleges may be unfamiliar with your high school. Your SAT2s are great, SAT is quite good (certainly away from CC)

Is that the right link for the website? didn’t seem to load… well, you’re involved in a lot of stuff and have a compelling life story. I think you have a great shot at Princeton and the other top schools. You’ll have to write some good essays (tough call whether to mention the details of your dad’s passing because your candidacy is strong on the demographics alone- low income single parent, from Utah)… and if they turn you down after you’ve shared something so personal, that would be especially difficult.

^ Ok I just got my APs

AP Psychology: 5
AP French: 5
AP US History: 4

But I’m assuming this changes very little? Oh and the link works for me, maybe the server was down when you tried to access it?

AP tests are irrelevant cmburns…
