I am a senior with a 3.2 GPA and a 26 composite ACT, a 30 on the reading, 28 in science, 3 year member of FFA with 2 years of raising sheep and placing at a county show, competed in a speaking event, and was an officer during the 2012-13 school year for my chapter. My GPA and class rank (50-55% of a 3,000 student high school heavily which is heavily competitive) hurt me the most I feel along with the fact that I just now this year took my first AP class. If I wrote a couple very strong essays however, would it be possible for me to be admitted without going the blinn college route? I have already been admitted to Oklahoma State and Kansas State but I've been scared to apply because of my somewhat underwhelming academic record. If I did have to attend Blinn how long would I have to go to school there? At least a year right?
