Could I get into the Rutgers SAS honors program?

I very much would like to get into the honors program at Rutgers. However I don't know how good my chances are. I read the requirements on the website and the only physical requirement was about having a 600 or higher on the reading section of the SAT.

I scored a 730 on the reading. My combined score is a 1980. I also have a shining list of extracurriculars and volunteer service hours. I have taken many AP and honors classes. I received perfect scores on all my AP tests except the first one I ever took, on which I got a 4.

However I only have a 3.4 GPA. Weighted. Not impressive. I have not yet received any letters about the honors program yet, but I got my acceptance letter to rutgers a few weeks ago. I'm nervous that my sorry GPA got me overlooked for the program. Also my school is very competitive, so there is no class ranking system. Did that mess up my chances as well? Do I have any chance of getting in? Should I keep hope and wait for a letter? Thanks for any advice!

And even if you don’t make it into Rutgers SAS Honors, if you have a 3.7 after freshman year at Rutgers, you can apply for honors status.
