Could I get into the University of Florida??

Hello, and thanks for reading this! I'm going to be a senior and I want to apply to UF and I just want to make sure that I'm not just wasting my time, or what sort of result I should expect from them. I know there are plenty of threads here, but I could use the reassurance.

-My GPA is 3.98 (I have one B on my transcript; all As other than that).
-I take all Honors classes when available and have taken 3 APs so far (2 in World History, 3s in Bio and English Language), and I will take 4 APs next year.
-I was a member of BETA for one year and will return for another year.
-I will be in NHS this upcoming year.
-I'll be involved in some science-related clubs this year.
-Moderately heavily involved in Band for 3 (to be 4) years, and I was in winter guard for 2 years.
-My SAT is 1970, but I want to retake it in October.
-I took 3 years of French and 1 year of Latin I.

I don't really know what other information to give. But thank you for reading through this, and I would appreciate any thoughts you have on increasing my chances of getting into my dream school!

If it helps, I want to major in pre-med.

It’s certainly plausible, but honestly it’s hard to predict for UF these days. Definitely apply, but apply to a few other places as well. I’m not sure exactly how this would work, but if you can, don’t declare your intent to major in pre-med. I think you’d have a better chance of admissions in a less competitive major, & then once you’re in you can switch. Again, I don’t go to UF so I urge you to look into the logistics of this yourself. Luck!

Thanks for your advice! I know I want to go into the medical field, but I want to major in some science field that interests me the most, and take premed required classes with it.
