Could I get into these colleges?

I am a junior in high school (I graduate in 2016). I plan on applying to Stanford, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and San Jose State University for CS and possibly physics (possible double major).

Here are my stats:
2060 SAT (670 CR and math, 720 writing) (I am taking it again)
35 ACT (taking it again)
4.23 weighted GPA, 4.0 unweighted
I have taken and passed two AP tests (3 in chem and 4 in world history)
I have taken the calc, US history, physics, and eng lang AP tests and am waiting for results.
I will be taking the AP stats, bio, and eng lit tests as a senior.

Extracurriculars/etc.:
Key Club (all four years, several community service/volunteer works through them)
CSF (I will be a lifetime member and hope to run for VP as a senior)
Sacred Hearts Club (all three years so far)
Golf (freshman year)
ASB (student gov’t) advisor (sophomore)
Senior Class Secretary
Jazz band (I played piano in it for all four years)
Piano (private lessons starting when I was 7, they will end when I graduate. I hope to also submit a sample of me playing to the colleges).
FFA (freshman and senior year) (I was on the computers team as a freshman and we won first in state, I hope to join another team next year)
Part-time job (secretary) at P&L Concrete (I worked Saturdays during the summer and am on call for computer work and filing papers when they need me)
This is just a hobby, but I practice programming on Khan Academy (I don’t know if this shows interest in major so if anyone could let me know if it’s worth mentioning, thanks)

This is a double side note, but my parents are average middle class (my dad is retired) and my sister is at a CC. As far as any unique “struggles” in my life, I have severe eczema, and that’s something I’ve worked to overcome. School is important to me partially because of my eczema, because extreme sweat (basically doing sports or exercising too much, straining myself) makes me flare up, so I want to succeed in academics if nothing else.

Sorry if this is a long post, this is the first post I’ve ever made ^///^

You look like a qualified applicant for all the schools except Stanford, which is a reach for everyone. Good Luck.

Why are you retaking the ACT when you have a 35? You don’t have to retake the SAT either since you have a 35.

We signed up for the two SAT’s and ACT’s at the same time, since test scores can improve between two tests. (On my practice tests I was getting lower scores anyways so I figured there would be more room for improvement.) Now I can’t refund it anyways, but I can use all the possible score boosting I can get, especially where Stanford is concerned.

Sorry, duplicate post.

Don’t retake the ACT.

Your stats look superb. I would put you at a match for all of those except Berkeley at a high match and Stanford at a reach.

For anybody in the future who may come across this and want to know what happened because they are in a similar situation, I’m going to announce my college results as I discover.

Stanford: rejected

New update! And it’s an exciting one for me

San Jose State University: Accepted

Congrats!

Good for you!

Congrats! Btw, how did u end up scoring on the ap exams?

@ambitionsquared I’ll just list all of them.
AP World History: 4
AP Chemistry: 3
AP Physics: 2
AP US History: 4
AP Calculus: 4
AP Language: 5
And I’ll be taking AP Lit, AP Stats, and AP Bio this year.

Next update!
UC Davis: Accepted, and I got their Regent’s Scholarship ($30,000 over the course of four years) / am accepted into their Honors Program. Super excited

@MasterLillyclaw Whoa, amazing job!

New update! SCU: accepted! Won’t find out about financial aid for about a week though, and I know I didn’t get their top scholarship, which means that I probably won’t be going there (too expensive without their merit aid).

Last update (for schools):
UC Berkeley: accepted! No scholarships, tho, but still cool to have it as an option

I got $25,600 per year from a Dean’s scholarship and a grant at SCU, but it’s still more expensive than other colleges, so I’m not going there.

Thanks for the updates. I’m only a sophomore but my current path is fairly similar to yours. Its nice to see positive outcomes on this website. Congratulations on all the acceptances!

I officially accepted UCB’s admission decision! It feels so unreal @.@
