Could I get into UC Berkeley?

Hi, I'm currently a junior in high school. My high school is rated in the top 175 in the nation. I have a 4.26 GPA so far, and I've received a 34 on my ACT- my superstore is 35. I don't have many extracurriculars and they aren't that great either. My job and schoolwork take a lot of time and I recently quit tennis to focus on academics. I can get a good letter of recommendation and I can also probably write a good essay. So what are my chances of getting in. I want to do business or finance and start as an undergraduate and enter the Haas Business School. I haven't taken my SAT subject tests yet.

Speech & Debate- first year
Tennis- 2 1/2 years

Your GPA and ACT look very good. Your EC’s could be better. UCB is suppose to be more holistic in their admissions so if you write some compelling essays you might have a chance. If you could do some kind of internship this summer related to your major, I believe that would help. Here is the average profile for incoming freshman last year:
High School GPA 4.18
ACT Composite Score 31
SAT Critical Reading 678
SAT Mathematics 706
SAT Writing 692
Good Luck

UC Berkeley: match
the harder part for you would be getting into Haas once you get into Berkeley. But actually getting into Berkeley should be easy for you

Does Haas include the undergraduate business program?

UC Berkeley - low reach/high match. Your EC’s definitely factor into this.

UC Berkeley is a high match
Great grades but low EC

@habibisam. love the name btw. You apply under college of letters and sciences(undeclared/pre-business is one category) and then transfer to haas as a junior. Thats why it shouldnt be difficult to get in to cal, because you’re essentially applying to l and s, which doesnt even consider major for application, and only requires you to declare it as a junior.
