Here is the link to the traditional nursing program and admissions criteria. Your SAT scores are there. However, it appears you are a little low on the GPA, but if your upward trend continues, perhaps you can explain that in your application. Do the best you can. Apply after your first term and let the chips fall where they may.

Reweighted, sorry, autocorrect. I’m all honors/AP/High honors-does that help? And my essay is pretty good, recs are great. Sorry for being annoying, I loved UMASS and it’s defiantly a top choice

I think it could be a 50/50 shot. Average GPA for the incoming class in 2013 for nursing majors is 3.94, with an SAT of 1259 and ~top 10% in class rank:

So I would just hope your school doesn’t rank, and your grades improve… your high SAT scores could offset some of your low GPA, but you may want to talk about why your GPA is so low in your application, to mitigate some concern. What’s your GPA weighted?

Unfortunately, nursing is the only major on campus that you CANNOT transfer into, so if you are accepted into UMass as an undeclared major, but not into the nursing program, and your heart is set at nursing, I would look elsewhere.

Kerbear, obviously, there are no guarantees, but again, just do the best you can. And approach it like any other student would. Pick your reach, match and safety school. For example, all the UMass school have nursing and I would bet you have all categories covered. Someone will accept you and once you get out of school, your job performance will determine your success.
