Could I Get Into Wesleyan?

I visited Wesleyan and realized that it is my top choice.
My Stats:
35 ACT composite
35 English
34 math
36 reading
36 science

93.5 weighted GPA (my school barely weights)
27th in my class of 200

Full IB diploma candidate- I take all advanced classes- like AP but harder (15 candidates in my class, many of which have lower GPAs than me) (this is the most rigorous program offered at almost any high school in the country)

Extra Curriculars:
President of the Gay Straight Alliance and member for years
Starred in numerous school and outside of school plays
Committed dancer (ballet, modern, jazz, and pointe) for 14 years
In my school's vocal jazz ensemble
hospital volunteer

I know that my grades aren't great... I've had a familial problem for the past few years that really hurt my grades. If I wrote a stellar essay, would I have a shot of getting in? I want to apply early decision.

Thanks so so much for the insight!

I think you certainly have a shot if you put effort into your application, especially ED

Thanks, I’m already starting my application so that I can make it top-notch.

Anyone else have any thoughts?
