[] Strengths: Class Rank, W GPA, rigor of courses. Personally, I think my supplement also showed a lot of research done on Wharton/Penn.
[] Weaknesses: SAT I and II, maybe UW GPA.[/ul]

Do you have a shot? Yes. Rank and EC’s are great. Your scores and UW gpa will definitely hurt you, but low income combined with first generation could tip you in.

Realistic viewpoint: You most likely will not get in. The 690 Math1 is a problem. You should have taken Math2 and scored around 800. The 3.7 GPA is also an issue. Your high school might have graded hard, but it definitely doesn’t grade as hard as Wharton. Even if the admissions people really love your essays and your personality, they might be afraid that you’ll get your butt kicked for 4 years and spare you the punishment.

Thanks for the honesty!

Holy cow! Your class has 6350 people?!??! How big is your school?

I would just apply, there’s no harm in trying.

dude I mean no offense, but your in Math Studies and you dont even have a 7. Your Math I score is 690. From my extensive research and experience, I concluded (and 2 counselors agree with me on this) that Wharton doesnt even look at freshmen who score less than a 7 on IB Higher Level Math. Of course, your essays may be downright divine and your rec written by the president - in this case, you may slip in. Still, good luck!

My 6 in Math Studies is down to the teacher not providing information for ways to achieve the necessary scores on the IA, she basically just wants the kids to pass the class (4/5) because most of them are not good at math. No one in my school got a 7 because of this.
