Would ANY (and I mean ANY) university that I've been accepted to rescind my admission for getting straight B's on my final, 2nd semester report?

No, I don’t believe so. Just don’t go below a B. You still have time to bring the grades up to the B plus range.

One or two B’s is fine, but straight B’s? If you are accepted into any top universities, be on the look out for the letter informing you of your rescinded admission.

No, probably not.

Like zenbadabing said, it its an Ivy Leaguer (or the like) try your hardest to bring your grades up ASAP. Buuut, if it’s top tier but not top 5 top 10 w/e, imo you’l be fine.

Zenmaster, you are wrong, you won’t get recinsded for straight b’s

Tell that to the kid who got his NW admission rescinded for one C. Don’t forget that some admitted students are merely borderline- one mistake could have their spot replaced by a desperate applicant on the wait-list.

It’s Columbia. And I’m not going to get STRAIGHT B’s, I’m just assuming the worse possible hypothetical scenario. (I’m in 7 classes, 5 of which are APs)

Columbia will not rescind for Bs.

I highly doubt it.

yo, how do you know the c was the only reason he got rescinded? A c is different from a b too/

I highly doubt they’d rescind your admission for Bs in AP classes. All Bs is pushing it a bit for the top tier level, but even then there’s a very small chance of getting rescind.

if that kid never got Cs before than thats probably why, but straight Bs is not really that bad.

it depends what your marks have been like. Person A wouldnt, but Person B may.

A: 3.8 GPA- Midyear Grades (or recent grades b4 the straight Bs): A, A, A, B, A, A, A, A
(Grade 11: A, A, A, A, A, B, B, B… 10: A, A, B, B,A , A ,A, A… etc.

B: 4.0 GPA- All A’s… never had a B on a final report in his/her life.

Phew. (I am person 1 for sure, and actually, not only do I have a 3.8, my grades in the mid-year were all A’s and a B :P)
