Could I Get Rescinded?

I got into GWU this fall with about a 3.3/3.2 GPA.

My grades for the final trimester may turn out like...

2 A's (Music courses)

B+
B
B-
B-

D+ (possibly regular D)

Could that one D be a cause for rescinding my acceptance?

No. .

call admissions and ask, or have your counselor do so. At some schools this could happen, don't know about GWU. You're better off knowing now what's going to happen then just hoping everything works out ok. You'll have to send in a final transcript, so its not like they won't find out or won't notice. And by being proactive they'll be more willing to work with you on alternatives such as making in up in a community college summer class.

I doubt it. Once you get 2+ D's, you're in trouble.

bump?........

No, highly doubt it. However, you must immediately email/call the school and explain why you got that D and they may 1) ask you to meet up wtih ur colleges counselor once a month to make sure ur grades are acceptable and/or they may put you on academic probation. However, I expect them to just give you a warning and not make a huge deal out of it.

hope you guys are right

did you get merit money? A "D" can put you at risk of losing it.

No, I did not get merit money. It seems as though I'll be getting a D+, a C, and the rest B's. (My winter trimester grades were a A, a few B's and a C+

I agree with previous posters that you should be fine, but it might be a good idea to speak with GW.
