Could I lose my Admission?

I was admitted to Syracuse University under Early Decision and I have already paid my deposit.

Alright so my first hour is an Independent Study (I work on my own in library/student center) for an AP Class. I did most of my studying for the exam at home and I am sure I got a 5 on it. I skipped first hour a lot/ was late a lot because I never really got much work done during that hour so I didn't feel like I had to go. My mom gave excuses of me having a stomach problem which was true a lot, but the attendance lady threw a fit and said she was going to take action against me for my 9 excused absences, 4 unexcused absences, and 15 or so mostly excused and unexcused tardies by putting it on my transcript for my last semester of high school (Attendance isn't usually put on my HS transcript). Will I seriously lose my admission just because my attendance lady hates me? I still have decent grades, all I did was miss my first hour because it was pointless and even my teacher basically said she doesn't care if I sleep in since my AP exam is over.

Is there any chance I will lose my admission because of this? My grades are still about the same as first semester mostly A's and B's with three AP Courses.

Who manages your transcript? I’d go to the guidance counselor or principal, explain the situation, and see if you can get out of having the lates on your transcript.

It’s extremely likely your college won’t care, though, because absences and tardies pretty much don’t exist in college. The only reason why I would think they would matter in high school is because usually you’re only given a certain # of them before you auto-fail a class…but you can’t really fail an independent study period, lol.

It still kinda sucks and it would all have been easily resolved if you just went to that period…even if only to do homework or whatever.

shouldn’t that be your teacher/advisor’s problem to deal with? i had the same issue for my first period senior year of high school, and my professor just dropped me a letter grade for it. i really didn’t even care either. you should talk to your teacher about it, or ask a family friend that’s a doctor to write a note for you haha
