<p>I don't want a "you could, but so could everyone else" answer. With my plain old transcript and activities, do I really have a shot at NYU, Columbia, or Cornell? </p>
<p>These schools are my dream schools. These three are the only out of state schools I'd ever want to attend. Florida State University would be the only school I'd consider in my state. </p>
<p>I'm a junior, and I was just wondering if any of those schools would be a possible reach for me?
GPA Unweighted: 3.8 (will be 4.0 this year)
Weighted: 4.2 (junior year GPA not calculated yet, but it should be somewhere around 4.6-4.7)
SAT Subject tests: English Literature, United States History, Chemistry
SAT: Taking in March (studying every weekend, so I'll score high)
ACT: Same as SAT
AP's total: 10 AP classes (Including my upcoming senior year)
(took regular courses my freshman year, but was pushed into AP/honors curriculum my sophomore year)
Volunteer: 150 hours (plus 100 more this summer)
Extra: Drama Club president, Gay/Straight Alliance vice president, Glee Club, Academic Team, International Thespian Society, and National Honor Society.
Ethnicity: 1st generation American due to my parents being born in Cuba.</p>
