Could I make this Econ and Finance double major work?

Hey guys, lately I’ve been wondering if double majoring would be a good idea, or if I’d be in over my head. In the fall, I’m transferring from a CC to a private college within my state. It’s not a super well known school nationally though, so keep that in mind. I’ve been thinking about double majoring in Economics and Finance, but I’m wondering how smart that would be. I’ve also thought of just majoring in Economics, and then trying to go to somewhere like UT-Austin. I believe they have a 9 month master’s that concentrates on Finance. Ultimately, I’d like to be some type of financial analyst. At this college, six of the courses (so 24 credits) overlap with each other which is why I really started to consider it. In total, the Finance degree is 64 credits and the Economics degree is 48. When I get to the school I’ll already have 8 of the Econ credits taken care of. The college is on a 4-1-4 system, and I could also take a few classes in the summer. Do you think I’d be able to graduate in 2 years or am I over my head? Thanks for any input, and sorry if I rambled!

Can you fill in how many credits transferred toward your finance major and how many credits constitute a full credit load at your school?

Remaining Credits to Complete Double Major
Econ: 40
Finance: 64 - ?
Maximum credit overlap: 24

My micro&macro transfer over as intros for both programs, so like I said I’d only need 40. I forgot to mention it in my introductory post, but those 8 credits also count towards Finance. That puts me at:

Econ: 40
Finance 56

Four other courses that I would take at the college overlap with each other, and they are each 4 credits each which puts us at:

Econ: 24
Finance: 40

With the 4-1-4 system. you’re expected to take at least 16 credits a semester. The one class during winter break, aka J-term, is optional, but is covered under your tuition. If it doesn’t work out, which I’m not too sure because I don’t want it to prevent me from participating in other school activities/internships, I’d just major in Econ.
