So, I decided not to play in high school for various reasons, but I've played all my life, and still play once and a while.

If I went to say, Colgate or Williams college could I be on the football team since the school is so small? I'm not expectating to start, I just want to play at practice.

I'm still in decent shape, and do weightlifting at my school instead. I have the right build for it too.

He played around where I live and he was a stud, three year starting running back, all state, etc. He went to Colgate. Playing D3 takes more than being in decent shape and lifting weights, you need to be a star on your team.

Im kinda in the same boat...i really want to play football. I played for 10 years and then palyed rugby for 2. But due to a move and other reasons i didnt play junior or senior years.
Freshman and sophomore years i was a varsity starter on the rugby team....we were 22-1 in those two seasons and Swiss champions as well as central european champs.
So like I feel like I could play at D3....but im just not sure

I also want to sail.....and what do you know....of course they are the same season =[

the top of D3? probably not. But one of my buddies at Macalester could have walked on and played (with zero organized football experience) if their TEs, which were the position he would play, weren't the best players on the team, and he wasn't willing to put in the effort to get big enough to play line.
