I'm a junior, and this past fall, I took the PSAT in hopes of maybe getting a score high enough to qualify for National Merit. However, the day I took the PSAT, my school messed it up for me (only me) and I wasn't registered when I got to the classroom where I was assigned to take my test. I had to literally frantically run around the school for 10 minutes and confront 6 different school administrators about the situation and this sapped a lot of my energy. By the time I got someone to acknowledge that I was indeed assigned to take the PSAT in that room, the test was about to be started in my classroom. By the time I got back to the classroom, everyone had already filled out their registration information and the teachers administering the test in that classroom prompted me to fill out my information. Since everyone was waiting for me, I had to rush to fill out my registration info and I started my test very disillusioned and sapped of my energy.

Is this enough justification to be able to get a second try on the PSAT, since no one else had to go through this test-day confusion immediately preceding their taking of the test?
Is it too late to appeal to the College Board to be allowed to retake the PSAT for NMS purposes?
