If I haven't taken calculus at my current school, could I still have a chance of being accepted at UT? My Major is Biology.

Does that mean not taking AP Calculus senior year will HURT your chances of admittance to UT???

Are you a junior?

Yes and I plan on applying to the college of Natural Sciences this September.

Then take Calculus at school. Or take it at community college this summer.

You have to have calculus at UT anyway, even for Biology (even for BA). So if you are not very good in Math, repeating the class after AP would help. Your grades and rank from 12th grade would not count, the admission office would look at your rank from 11 grade.

What’s the problem with calculus, I just don’t understand? Do you have any schedule conflicts?

Can I take it the summer after I graduate? Or do I need to take it while I’m applying? And it’s not fitting in my HS schedule and I’m not very good at Math. Btw thank you YaYa

UT is changing a lot of rules, so I cannot say anything for sure. I GUESS, that yo can meet readiness requirement if you have a SAT Math score of 600 or above or an ACT Math score of 26 or above.

I would suggest to call admission office (your local) <a href=“Contact Us | Undergraduate Admissions | The University of Texas at Austin”>Contact Us | Undergraduate Admissions | The University of Texas at Austin; and ask this question saying that you have a schedule conflict.
