<p>I have a C+ in pre-calculus honors for both semesters. And a C+ in the first semester in AP statistics. Do I still have a chance of getting into UF or UGA.
Just finished junior year
My unweighted GPA: 3.5
Weighted GPA: 4.5
I have taken 7 AP classes
Senior year I will take 5 AP classes for a total of 12 AP classes taken
All my classes have been either AP or Honors classes (which I got A and B grades in)
ACT score: 30 (going to try again for a 33)
Volunteer:
Hospital (ER)
Elementary school
Recycling/ ecology
Tutoring
EC:
HOSA (VP, over 100 members)/ placed 2nd in districts for PSA
Psychology club (VP)
Ecology club (member)
State: Florida
In my schools health science program for all 4 years.
Will be eligible to get my CMAA and CET</p>
<p>Which program are you applying for? If it’s not math heavy duty, then the C+ in Pre-Calc & Stats won’t really affect you. If it’s engineering or anything heavy on math… still apply and see what happens.
Granted, you’d likely confuse the admission committees if you got a 30 or higher on ACT Math but could barely make a C+ in Pre-Calc.</p>

<p>Then I wouldn’t suggest stressing over two simple grades. Improve what you can improve (your ACT), keep volunteering over the summer, and write the best essays you’ve ever written. Don’t let anything other than finances (you’re OOS for UGA - can your family afford it?) to keep you from applying to a school.
Also, kick *** your fall semester of senior year. In case these schools for some reason defer your application, you can apeal and show them that A+ on AP Calculus.</p>
