Could I still get into West Point?

I know I am still young and should not be worrying all that much about college yet (says many people) although recently some minor set backs have occurred. I am a freshman in High School and from a young age West Point was always a college that interested me coming from a family with many service members.

I am in all honors classes this Freshman year. I am on varsity fencing and soon playing lacrosse, I have been volunteering since I was very young at a animal shelter, and I am in three clubs. All of my grades are A's and B+'s, although my history grade is a C+ because of two bad tests (It is the end of the first quarter). Will this C+ freshmen year affect my chances of getting into West Point?

Short answer: Yeah, it can. But it probably won’t affect you much/at all if that’s your only C.

Long answer: If you just got a C in the first quarter, if you do better the 2nd quarter, you could probably bring it up to at least a low B if not higher, right? And depending on what’s on your transcript, USMA might only see your semester grade. In which case you wouldn’t have a C. It depends on your school though, and how you do overall for the semester. Don’t let one bad grade deter you though.
