<p>Hey guys im form NY and i am currently attending Pace University and am enrolled in the honors program. My GPA after my 1st year is a 3.5 . I am looking to transfer to either Columbia, NYU, or Binghamton for my junior year. I will complete my sophomore year at Pace and will probably get my GPA to 3.7+. Do you think i would have a shot to get into any of those schools or should i set my sites lower?</p>

<p>Almost definitely in at Binghamton, likely at NYU if you get that GPA up (keep the crappy fin aid here in mind though when you apply), and a very low shot at Columbia. In the last case, it’s pretty much a crapshoot for anyone, and your GPA in particular isn’t as high as it should be to have a good shot at transferring in. More info about your application (e.c. activities and such) would be necessary here. Even then, realistically speaking, I don’t really see you having a good shot getting in (not to say you shouldn’t apply anyway if you really like Columbia).</p>
