Could RPS change my roommate between now and move in?

We haven't even moved in and it's not working out for us. He requested to room with a friend, but the request wasn't honored so he's naturally bitter. Plain and simple, he's a HUGE partier and I'm not, and he made it clear to me that that's not okay with him. He's from Bloomington North High School and knows everyone and planned all these events in our room without asking me. He called me a fag and a ******* because of my major and he commented on a few of my FB pictures and said that the girls I was with were ugly. It's evident that he's disappointed and he's just screwing with me at this point, and neither of us want to room together.

Would it be possible to contact RPS about this and give someone with a Lounge assignment my spot? I'm currently in Harper in Foster and I'd rather live in a lounge than with this guy.

Or is there a policy where you HAVE to wait a few weeks into the year?

Perhaps you and the guy that his friend is rooming with could room together so these two partners in crime be together?
It’s a better solution than reporting him to Housing.

^ Thats a sweet idea; do you suppose we could do that without telling anyone? Or would we have to clear it with someone in RPS?

Just so you know there are ZERO people assigned to temporary housing this year. I was assigned a lounge at first but got moved to Wright.

And also, maybe wait until you actually get there and meet the guy? It’s much easier to look like a certain type of person/be a dick on the internet than in person.

Does anyone know when the first opportunity to switch roommates is?

2 weeks into the semester…comes an opportunity to request a switch.
