i wanted to get some textbooks ahead of time but i don't know what the titles are or anything.
what're some names of the textbooks for big freshmen classes?
especially for math 115...?

You can buy all your books from Ulrichs (dot.com) Michigan Book and Supply, etc. You just have to type in the class name and section and they'll get you your books, available for pickup on the first of September.

Also, textbooks do change from year to year (and even semester to semester) so don't rely on posted lists.

ok which 1 should i listen 2...I went to the Course guide and looked up the textbook for Gen Chem...and then I went to Ulrich's and they gave told me another textbook totally diff...so Is it Ulrich's or Website?

I think what college2004is saying is that Ulrichs Michigan Book and Supply are ripping students' money by taking advantage of the freshmen uncertainty. If anyone ordered the books for a specific class, could they please be so kind to post it.

I don't like Ulrich's and never shop there (their manager was a total jerk to me about 10 years ago; yes, I hold grudges) but the allegation that they are trying to rip students off seems ill-founded. If a student gets the wrong textbook, there is a grace period for returning it, which (given the price of textbooks) students are going to definitely do. A bookstore which would knowingly sell the wrong book is making more work for itself, not more profit.

If there is a difference between what is listed as the textbook for a certain course and section, I'd make sure you have the correct section listed. Perhaps different professors have chosen different texts. If there's still a discrepancy, then it would be best to delay purchase until you hear it from the professor himself, such as via the syllabus.
