Could someone chance a tranfer student? I'll chance back!

High School Record

GPA-2.5

ACT-19

. High school grades and test scores due to a diagnosed learning disability in mathematics.

College Record
GPA-3.1(unweighted)
GPA-3.2/3.3(weighted)

Projected GPA for 2nd semester 3.5-3.9, because I'm taking mostly classes within strictly my major

Extracurricular's from 11th grade onward

Cambridge College Programme(Cambridge University, United Kingdom)

Internship with one of the 2008 Presidential Campaigns

Homecoming Court 2007

24 hours of separate political volunteer activities

35+ hours of volunteer work with one of my state's Governor's campaign's

24 hours of community service

Phi Alpha Theta(Historical Honor's Society)

Sigma Tau Delta(English Honor's Society)

Alpha Phi Omega(National Service Fraternity)

Table Francise(French Foreign Language Group)

Common Ground Christian Youth Group

I also held a job for a year as a bagger at a local grocery chain

So what are my chances at the following schools as college transfer student.

Please note that Gettysburg, Allegheny and Wake Forest don't require SAT/ACT scores from transfer students who spent at least one year at another school. In addition most of these schools want to see second semester grades before making a decision on applicants.

The baseline GPA for consideration as a transfer to all of these schools is between 2.0-3.0

Gettysburg College(wait listed when I applied in high school)

Dickinson College

Muhlenberg College(denied when I applied in high school)

Allegheny College(wait listed when I applied in high school)

George Mason University(denied when I applied in high School)

Virginia Military Institute

James Madison University

University of Mary Washington

Wake Forest University

The Citadel

Thank you to anyone who replies,

What college are you currently at?

But, I would say that your chances have definitely increased, so maybe those schools that waitlisted you would offer you acceptance.

Some things to help your application: talk about your internship with the Presidential campaigns, maybe write your essay on it? Also, don’t mention homecoming court 2007, that really has nothing to do with college applications.

I’m currently at Shepherd University in WV, however I didn’t really want to go here in the first place and I want to transfer.

In terms of my essay I wrote it last year on my internship, so this year I was thinking about doing my essay on m success thus far in college?

What do you think?

Btw thank you for the recommendation for my application!

Any more opinions?

well, you certainly have improved from you high school years, but I am not quite sure as transfer students have a really small chance of being admitted and they also place a lot of scrutiny on transfer students and they want to know why you do not want to stay in the college you are currently in or what is it the really attracts you to the college you are applying too. Well G luck

hey thanks sorry it took me so long to get back to you…
