I’ll definitely read it too! PM me.

I’d like to read it as well. If it is okay with you.

I can critique it if u want. Pm it to me but I can be a bit brutal when it comes to critiquing an essay! I don’t like giving false hopes.

I’d like to have a look, if that’s all right. I’ve submitted my application already - just want to have an idea of what I might be up against :P

If you want another to take a look just PM me

I could take a look, PM me

If you want I can take a look at it and give my opinion . Just PM me . Mine would be done in a few weeks but if you want to look at it too, just ask me.

I can also give it a look if you want. Just (here it comes) PM me!

@Soda: Fifteen people have now asked to read your essay, and you probably received 15 different opinions and are totally confused. My advice – without reading your essay (and I don’t want to) – is to ignore all the well-meaning advice you received. Share your essay with a teacher that knows you well and ask them: “Does this sound like me?” “Does this essay convey who I am?” If they answer yes, then you nailed it. Asking random strangers what they think of your essay is a complete waste of time and energy because they don’t know the human being behind the words. Best of luck to you.

Well said Gibby, but the thing is that Soda hasn’t yet sent the essay for us to read! :D

sure i’ll take a look if you still want - pm please

Stephen King says – if you give your essay to many people and they all come up with different criticism, you’re safe to throw all of it away.

I tend to agree with that in principle (especially considering the nature of the feedback you’ve just received) but remember not all advice is created equal. Don’t weigh what posters on this forum have said as much as you do your English teacher who’s worked at the Admissions Department.
