<p>I would give it an 8/12. You state your stance and give adequate examples, but it comes off a little more as a brief history than as a persuasive essay. I did like the Madoff & BP examples, but they needed to be separate with more elaboration. Hitler is a very banal example and the scorers will rarely give you creativity points for that. Examples like 1984, Huck Finn, mythology, and other obscure literary/ historical references would illustrate your point more effectively with a little imagination.</p>
<p>The formula for the 12 essay in 10 days should help a lot with your introduction & conclusion.</p>
<p>e.g. It is essential that society challenges the ideas of those in authority in order to insure the advancement and prosperity of human civilization. Several examples from literature and current events exemplify the notion that questioning authority essential.</p>
