Could someone please help me narrow my list down?

<p>I need some help categorizing my colleges into matches/reaches/safties. I also really need to narrow it down to >15. </p>

<p>Stats (I am veryy average if not below)
GPA:3.179
RANK:170/332
SATS:1150/1740;M550;CR600;W590 retook sats probs improved around 100p
AP BIO EXAM:2
I took some honors and 3 AP classes.</p>

<p>About 150 volunteer hours.

Model UN 1 year</p>

<p>What you really need to do to narrow the list down is make a list of what matters to you...size of the school (how many students), the kinds of ECs available, whether you care about going to college sports games, what type of setting you want (urban, suburban, boonies), etc. Also definitely look on the different sites and books about what students say about the schools. </p>

<p>A lot of colleges will have student blogs that you can read. I would also see if they have student newspapers...reading those on their Web sites would give you a lot of insight into the real atmosphere at the schools!</p>

<p>I'd definitely start from what size/area you want to be, whether it is big/small school or a school in a city, suburb, or a small town. Then I'd look at the majors you want to apply into and see, from the schools you've narrowed down, which would be the best school for you, based on your interests. Also, if there was one extra-curricular you are really interested in, try to find a school that has that.</p>
