Could the midyear report hurt me?

Hi guys,
Due to the sat tests , all the paperwork and the loads of courses i have in this senior year, i could say i that my marks have considerably DROPPED!!
I mean, the work is so intense but i am ripped apart between my school tests and college stuff especially that i started the whole process a bit late.
The thing is that most of my marks have dropped compared to the last years and espeially in math i got the worst mark i've ever had in my whole life(perhaps a B- or ev en a C in your system;not sure about the conversion)!!!
However, i am not the only to drop in marks, all my classmates are declining just like me because my school is so difficult and so are our treachers , that's why y rank would probably stay the same(1st of 250 if not drop to 2nd or 3rd)!
Do you think that compared to my sat scores, awesome grade transcripts this may make a very bad impression; should i write sth about it?
Please help me!!!!
I am freaking out!!!!!!!!

Of course it will hurt you. The real question is “by how much?” And the answer is pretty complicated. Without knowing your test scores, family situation, extracurriculars, previous transcript, current courseload, employment, etc, etc, there is no possible way to say anything other than: it will definitely hurt you in the sense that getting a perfect GPA is always better, but it might not hurt you much if you can explain it away through other factors.

You are in a trouble now. Not in case of MIT only, you still need the best GPA in your last year to show the colleges that you are maintaining a tough coursework with perfection and is still improving.

Certainly, not the ‘elite-answer’. If you can’t maintain a ‘simple’ coursework how do you propose to complete your pset once you are there?
You had your “last year high school” chance. Now concentrate on your other credentials. Adcoms may look at your previous records and this year’s record and ask “Is he/she a slacker?”

Also, as an international, you need as perfect of an application as you can put together. Is there anything you can do to get these grades up? If not, don’t let it keep you from applying. Just do your best.

Ok, now let me explain to you our systme
we have 3 trimesters and in each trimester there are 2 tests , the nd test’s coefficient is higher than the first.
So, it is pretty typical that in the beginning of the last year every student who passed through our system dropped in the marks of at least the first test in matn!
however, this wouldn’t hurt my gpa much since the 2nd test would decrease the drop!!
I have what could be converted into a 4.0 Gpa and have never had a B in science or math; always A+(95-100/100) but this time i got a A- or B+(80-86/100) is this tha bad!!
The thing about ripped apart is a bit exagerated!
I only knew about the application process in september so i had an sat in october toefl in november ,sat 2 in november and sat retake this week in december ! And beleieve me, our scholl is so competititve, i am not the only one to drop ,all my classmattes have done so ,so my rank will stay the same!!
What do you think!!
(knowing that i am going to incorporate this in the essay!!)

I’m pretty sure that one A-/B+ on an application full of A+s is perfectly fine. Don’t stress. What’s done is done. Keep doing your best.
