Math: -1
English: -0
Reading: -3 (I know you can always get -2 for a 36, so this subscore may be a 35...)
Science: -0

(I'm pretty certain about the Math/Reading scores; English/Science, I just haven't found any wrong yet...English is normally really good for me. Science, I breezed through this time, so hopefully that's a good sign. However, I found out I may have misinterpereted a minor part of a data set in one passage, but the good news is, thinking about it, I don't think it really impacted my answers for the questions about it [I interpereted it partially correctly])

Anyway, what do you think this would be?? Would these scores be a 36? If I get -2 in science or something, what'll that be? Thanks!

I’m no expert but I imagine that will even out to a 35. I dont think science has as much weight as the other sections though. I got a 30 in science, 33 math, 35 english and 36 reading and my score was a 34 comp…

Idk liv4physicsz. I got a 34 reading on the April ACT and only missed 1 question. Missing 3 on reading is at the worst a 32 so if you get 36 english and science, and sayyy, a 35/36 math even with that 32, itll still be a 35 composite at the least.

i hope so! a lot of these sections sound like they troubled CCers more than usual…and this is CC we’re talking about…so hopefully the curve’s gracious!!!

i know i got -3 in reading, -1 in math, and i think -1 in english…i’m just hoping for at least a 34. i’d be elated with a 35, and over the moon with a 36! :)

Jalli, I don’t doubt that -2 has been a 36 on ACT reading before. I am just wondering where you get that number from? I would like to know because I would love that kind of curve.

-2 = 36 on reading was on one of the red book practice tests, from what I’ve heard.

However, I’m pretty sure -2 = 36 is not a certain thing for every Reading test.
In fact, I’m positive that -2 = 36 on Reading is rare.
A generous curve for reading would be considered -1 = 36, -2 35, -3 34, etc… or -1 35, -2 35, -3 34, etc.

In the case that we get a -2 = 36, there’d probably be a skip at like, 34 or 33, possibly even 35?
So it’d be -2 = 36, -3 34, -4 33, etc.
Or -2 = 36, -3 35, -4 33, etc…
