i got a 560 on the critical reading section on the may sat, but i got a 34 on my first practice test from the red act prep book(the one with 3 practice tests). is it possible for there to be that much of a difference or is that just a fluke. i also only got a 23 on the english section. and a 27 on math(havent done the science one yet)

The SAT and the ACT are different in a lot of ways. You’ll see when you take the real ACT.

The English section is basically grammar, so it’s unreliable to compare it to the reading section. And math and reading are pretty different.

If you want, take another practice test.

(Oh, and just to tell you, I got a 58 on the CR section of the PSAT, but I got a 32 on the reading section of the ACT. So, yes, score differences can happen.)

It’s not a fluke but that’s really good. I got low 500s on the CR section and I got like a 25 on ACT so I’m still horrible at it. Did you finish on time? Cause I always have like a whole section to read on the ACT with like 3 mins. left, which is just absolutely horrible. I hate having to guess the questions without reading.

i had like 2 minutes left when i was done with it.one of the passages i really didnt understand and i got 9 out of the 10 right i dont know how i did it.
