I know that this email that I got from Cornell does not necessarily mean anything, but then again, it totally could! Don't laugh at me once I tell you what the email is about...

It just said that I was missing financial aid stuff. But does that mean, since Cornell is need-blind, that I have possibly been accepted and now they are looking for my financial aid stuff to gimme some $$? Why would a college bother with the financial aid stuff of rejected applicants?

Is that even how need-blind institutions work? Theoretically, I guess, they would first decide if someone was accepted or not without looking at the fin aid of that person, and if that person was accepted, then they would bother to look at the fin aid.

I just want someone to tell me that I have been indirectly notified of an acceptance to Cornell! :)

Sorry can't do what you want. Need blind schools will process fin. aid without knowledge of acceptance (or rejection). I agree that it does seem like alot of useless effort.
PS I got the fin aid email as well... and a little piece of me will hope it means "something"!
Good luck to you.
