i just got an e-mail today from collegeboard saying that a school (Stanford) has asked for more information about my financial situation, asking me to send a copy of my final tax forms to collegeboard, so that they can send the info stanford needs to them. Could this mean anything about admissions?

This could definitely be a promising sign for your admission status. I would just be glad that Stanford is doing so much research into my situation if I were you, which definitely means that you will probably get accepted! Congrats on your acceptance!

i still have my fingers crossed, but thanks for the early congrats.

It's too early for that (if you're thinking that they are already assembling your acceptance package!)!

It's too early. Stanford is need-blind so the financial aid office's requests have no relation to the admissions office decision. Unless they are assembling your acceptance package with the financial aid offer...which it is too early for.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but if it's the IDOC notification then everyone gets that because it's a part of the CSS Profile that Stanford is apart of. I got the e-mail as well, and I'm pretty sure everyone who filed the CSS Profile should get one because that's how the CSS Profile is for certain schools who require tax returns.

I got that same email. But hey who knows. Maybe all three of us are in.

I got the same email, and I was accepted SCEA. So sorry, as mickley said, hate to burst your bubble, but this is a standard email sent to a ton of students. GL just the same, though :)

yea its just a standard IDOC thing that you need to submit
it goes to everyone who completed the CSS profile for Stanford

As much as I wish it was a hint of acceptance, it's the same e-mail everyone gets. I got it today, too.

Yo tambien...and I'm SCEA.
