Could MSU, Michigan, Indiana and OSU make the final four? I think OSU is most likely going to make it, and Indiana (Miami will be a challenge) and Michigan (Kansas and Florida will be tough) have looked very strong in their respective brackets. MSU's bracket is the toughest, with Louisville and Duke looking very dominant. Still, it is not unfathomable that we will have an all-conference final four!

That is what my bracket says… I may be biased as a big ten fan, but really tried to do my bracket with my brain, not my heart!

I hope not! I’m still rooting for my hometown Orangemen to pull through!

If every game were even money, the odds would be 1 out of 256.

I would estimate the following odds:

U-M vs. Kansas: 40%
U-M vs. Fla/FGC: 55%
MSU vs. Duke: 40%
MSU vs. Louisville/Oregon: 45%
Ohio vs. Arizona: 85%
Ohio vs. Miss/LaSalle: 90%
Indiana vs. Syracuse: 60%
Indiana vs. Miami/Marquette: 65%

That would make the odds roughly 1 out of 85.

I’m pretty sure that it has never happened that four teams from the same conference made the Final Four. I think three teams made it only once.

Not this year

YEEEEEAAAAAHHHH GO 'CUUUSE!!!

I don’t know what I’ll do if a Mich-SU Final Four matchup comes up. I’ve been fearing it all year, haha.

Damn Indiana! Hopefully, Michigan and MSU will do better tonight. Also glad for OSU and Marquette. Go Midwest!

entenduintransit, the odds of any team making it to the finals aren’t great, so I would not worry about a Michigan vs Syracuse finals just yet. This said, assuming you are a student at Michigan, I do not see how this scenario would be such a struggle for you. Even if you grew up a rabid Syracuse fan, Michigan should now be your #1 team by far. Syracyse should be a distant second.

It might have happened if the Indiana team didn’t collectively put their hands around their throats and then squeezed really hard.

Dont know if it was a choke job-syracuse’s zone completely imobilized indiana’s bigs. The twelve turnovers in the first half were a function of syracuse’s defense rather than carelessness by IU

Alexandre: I wish it were that easy, haha. 'Cuse is in my blood. I think if they meet in the Final Four, I’d root for Syracuse. Where I go to school is temporary, but my birthplace and where I grew up is for life! But no matter who wins that hypothetical matchup, I’ll be happy.

And I agree, andy09. Indiana had no answers for the 2-3 zone. The first game of the tournament where a team goes double digits in both blocks and steals-- 12 steals and 10 blocks for the Orange. Things are finally meshing for both Syracuse and UMich, at just the right times. Every team should be scared as hell to play them. :)

entenduinstransit, I am sorry to hear that you do not feel you are now a Wolverine for life. Most of us who attend Michigan bleed blue. We never turn our backs on our alma matter. Maybe you will develop the typical Wolverine school pride and loyalty in time.

This is pretty common, I know a few Michigan grads who are still die-hard Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, and Duke basketball fans who would choose their favorite team growing up over their alma mater. A lot of athletic powerhouses indoctrinate the youngins when they are small! ;)

Its easy to be a fan of a team for one sport and a fan of a different team for another sport.

^^^^Exactly. You’re not gonna corrupt a Kentucky fan. Guaranteed. Even with a B.S., MS., Ph.D., M.D, JD all from Michigan.

It’s the only way for SEC fans to concede that they don’t have the best conference, so i sure hope so…Oh, didn’t happen nvm

Let’s go blue!

What a game! Go Blue!

Wow, one of the best games of the year! Burke was amazing down the strech…and McGarry

We’ve come to expect heroics from Burke, but McGary was a stud out there tonight.

Great game. Classic really. McGary’s 25 points and 14 rebounds were epic, and Burke’s 3 point shot…! Reminds me of our Final Four game against Kentucky back in 1993.

If Burke and McGary continue to play that way, with the help of Robinson III and Hardaway Jr., I like our chances against Florida. Anybody knows how we match up against the Gators? I have not watched them play, so I am not sure how our style meshes with theirs. But I have to say, our bracket is looking tough. Louisville is the real deal and Duke looks formidable too. Too bad MSU fell tonight.
