Well, I feel that applying to Yale might be like a waste of an application cause I feel that my stats are not good enought for Yale. However, I have got along my decision to apply to Yale. Could you evaluate my chances, ??

some of it is going to depend on what those SAT I scores turn out to be. I'm assuming that with all of your extracirricular descriptions, you live in Nepal? As an international student, I think it's par that you have to stand out even more that a native US student would have to, since it is so competative.

Your stats look okay, but I'm not sure exactly what to tell you because I'm not familiar with a lot of your ECs..and your class size is somewhat small.

thanks brune . regarding ecs, mine is one of the best back here in nepal ( since i have seen those of most of my friends), and the rank, well i think the rank calculated on the basis of our a level finals results back in my high school, are not much precise, and that they do not take into account the extra subjects that we studied on our own, besides the core course.

I'm not really sure how international admissions work and I doubt anyone else on this forum knows much about it either...so I have no idea...just remember that Yale admits only 8.6% of applicants and you are probably going to get rejected. And so am I, and so is everyone else. Good luck, you are not an auto-reject for sure (you've got some national awards which helps) but you need really good SAT I scores, and even then it's up in the air. No one can tell you anything more detailed because we're not experts.

yeah b4nnd20.. i kind of know that... but then saw everyone doing this... and if ppl said yes theres a chance... that would boost my energy levels to prepare the application... otherwise who would want to apply to a college knowing that it will be a straight rejection

Come on it's definitely not a straight rejection, you have a 1/11 chance of getting in. Do apply. The Yale app isn't that difficult compared to that of other colleges
