Hi People, I was wondering if you could help me with this. I have mentioned on my common application that I need an application fee waiver for applying to colleges. The counsellor at my school has also confirmed my eligibility. Now I didn’t need to pay any application fees when I applied to colleges through the common application.
Does it mean that I am done with application fees for colleges or do colleges require something else also? Thank You.
Later, you will get other fees, but not for the application. If the counselor confirmed your eligibility for fee waivers with those particular schools, then you should be okay.
All right thanks. But some colleges I applied to show “Fee Unpaid” when I check my status on their sites. Should I just ignore it?
And do the colleges only review applications once they have received official test scores, application fees, CSS/FAFSA (If students apply for F.A)
No you should not ignore it. You need to email/follow up with the admissions office. Just because your application fee was waived you may still need to pay fees to send your test scores or to file the CSS Profile
Pay the fees if they haven’t confirmed, because your app isn’t going anywhere if you don’t pay.
@sybbie719 I understand that perfectly. I have paid to send my test scores and CSS. It’s just the application fee I was worried about. I will follow up with the admissions office then.
