<p>I have just got rejected by a very prestigious liberal arts college. Now I am sorta freaking out as I am worried about whether I could get a offer from a good college after the ED rejection.UIUC now seems to me a good choice.</p>

<p>Based on your past experience and knowledge of the applicant who got accepted into UIUC, do you think I could have a decent chance of getting in????</p>

<p>Major: History</p>

<p>Standardized Test:
SAT 1: CR 690 MA 720 Writ 670
SAT2: US His 750 Literat 650 Math 2 690</p>

<p>AP: World His 5</p>

<p>No Science in Junior year because I've already taken 4 science classes before that and I want to focus on showing my major interest. In junior year, I was taking 3 History classes together: Greece and Rome A AP World His A+ US His B+</p>

<p>Junior GPA: 3.67(W)
Senior GPA: 3.40(W)</p>

<p>Senior year I experienced a real dip on my overall GPA. This is gonna be a huge problem. The class I am taking: AP US His; Regular European His; AP Cal; Honors Bio; Honos English; Environmental Science</p>

<p>Extracurricular:</p>

<p>Basketball Varsity Starting Point Guard 3 years, 7 years of playing baksetball
President and Founder of Rap Club, 2 years
President and Founder of Streetball Club, 3 years
Volunteering Academic Tutoring for School Student, 2 years---5 hrs/ week
School Newspapaer, 1 year
Work-out Club</p>

<p>Rap Composition and Appreciation: 5 years</p>

<p>Summer Session in UC Berkeley: Taking 3 credit-earned college courses</p>

<p>They will only see your GPA through Junior Year, and your SAT score translates to a 30 ACT composite, so you’re strong there. What is your class rank?</p>

But I’ve just checked the LAS college, which is the one I am applying to, and found out that it has the most rigorous requirement among all the colleges.
the fact they only look at my junior grade really relieves me. Now I think I may have a decent chance to get in</p>

<p>my school doesn’t rank, so UIUC might get any info on this part. Will empty class rank reflect negative on my application?</p>

<p>No, they will estimate a class rank based on your HS’ profile.</p>
