Could you re-apply to Cornell RD after getting rejected ED?

If you applied to Cornell ED and ended up not having the best SAT scores and getting rejected, could you re-apply RD after re-taking the SATs?

Also, is 2180 really below the average accepted students' SAT score? I'm not sure whether I should just go RD and get a better score or apply early with that grade...

Thanks for any suggestions!

If you are rejected ED, you can’t apply again RD. You’re out for good. Also 2180 is a good score but remember Cornell only looks at critical reading + math. I think the average for CR+M is around 1310? Not too sure.

Google.

If I am denied admission early decision, can I apply for regular decision at Cornell?
No. If you have been denied admission as an early decision applicant, you may not apply to Cornell University as a regular decision applicant.

Admissions Data (2010):

Percent of Applicants Admitted: 18%
Test Scores – 25th / 75th Percentile
SAT Critical Reading: 630 / 730
SAT Math: 670 / 770

You can not apply RD that year … the following year you could apply again though (ED or RD)
