Hi guys!

If I wasn't able to take a certain AP/honors class because of scheduling errors, restrictive class size etc, would that hurt me and is there a way to make sure college or whoever knows the circumstances?

If I wasn't able to take a certain AP/honors class because of scheduling errors, restrictive class size etc, would that hurt me and is there a way to make sure college or whoever knows the circumstances?

It would depend on the exact reasons. Talk to your guidance counselor and talk to them about what they will put into your rec. Ask them to explain the situation in there, which can explain the scheduling problems to them.
Though the schools may wonder why you didn’t look for further challenges outside of your high school.

Ok thanks!
And that’s why I decided to take extra classes at my local community college

Usually, that would be reflected indirectly in the school profile. You are likely not the only one affected so the average number of AP classes per student would be lower. Our school district has severe financial problem and my D’s school has cut a lot of classes. She also missed one of the AP she wants.
