<p>Does UF not require them? If not, should they be sent anyway? I know they use their own admission app and it is all online, so I assume they frown upon written recs being sent in additionally via snail mail? Thanks.</p>
<p>UF does not require or accept recommendations. They do not even look at them or keep them. One of the spokespeople told us this when we did a tour of the school last summer.</p>

<p>UF gets a metric crap-ton of applications every year. I doubt the admissions people have time to read and consider thousands of letters of recommendation, along with transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, the applicant’s essays, etc.</p>
