What county are you in? I'm in Cumberland County and the few students that are actually taking the exams are complaining like crazy.

so wait im just have a question

im planning to self-study ap human geography and take the exam for it in may
but since my school doesnt offer the course, does that mean they wont administer the exam too?
so does that mean i have to go to some other school to take the exam?

It depends if the proctor is willing to give administer an exam to only one student.

Some schools have reciprocity agreements with nearby schools for hosting if one school offers an AP exam that the other doesn't and vice versa.

I took one of my AP exams at another school and found it to be a fine experience. What I would make sure to do if you do test elsewhere is make sure that you plan to arrive early, in case you get lost. :)

Also, it's unclear from your message, but you should make sure that your counselor orders the test for you. Our school has a deadline to order AP exams by, and while I'm not sure if that's a nationwide thing, it would be a shame to do all that studying and then not have a test to take.

^ how did yo uarrange that? Did you call their ap coordinator?

Your own school's AP Coordinator should probably know whether your school offers the test or whether you would test elsewhere.

And yeah, some AP Coordinators talk. For instance, everybody in my district takes certain tests at our high school when those tests aren't popular throughout the district.

Call the AP office (I don't have the number..), you'll be put on hold for hours but be patient, ask them to arrange late testing for you. I'm sure there's late testing locations elsewhere if it's not centralized by city.
Just a word of advice, since you need your counselor to write you the most important rec letter come next year, don't destroy your relationship with her over this! If she just says one negative thing about you..., you might get screwed over that.

I'll look it up, but I believe a school is obliged to offer an AP exam to any student who wants to take it, if it wants to be allowed to administer exams.
