counselor is supposed to send online secondary school report, but mail transcript?

I'm pretty confused. So my counselor is supposed to complete the secondary school report online, with the evaluations and recommendations, etc? And then, my counselor is supposed to physically mail in my transcript? Or can my counselor somehow send my transcript online through the common app site? Can someone clarify this process please.

scan everything I think.

that's why my counsel. isnt doing that. she's sending everything in via snailmail.

Most colleges require the original official transcript to be mailed directly to them by the HS.

Everything has to be online or everything has to be hardcopy -- no mix & match.

Either he/she fills everything out online and sends the transcripts and school profile online

OR

Everything is mailed.

Chanfest, where did you get this info?

I called Stanford two times and they both said that it is okay to mix and match.

^Really? My counselors got the same info chanfest did. and I believe it was through commonapp...

Just pick one way or another...not that difficult.

^For schools that do not have the ability to send everything on line, all of the secondary information should be mailed hard copy using STANFORD's MAILING LABELS (which is why they have them and instruct you to use them in the common app).

What they don't want is for you to send your common app online and then mail supplement, or to submit both apps online but mail your essays.

I got that info from the FAQ Help Section of the Common App, but if you called and talked to Stanford, and they say its ok, then I guess they have their own policy independent of the Common App.
