In our school, we're assigned counselors. People last names starting with A-M get one counselor, N-T get another, and so on. The counselor I'm assigned to is new, and I rarely go to her, because she's usually not 'in' when I need help. I see another counselor, who is willing to aid me, but usually hesitant because she's not my assigned counselor.
Well...for counselor reccomendations, the one I SHOULD be asking is my assigned counselor, but I feel the one that knows me best is the other one. I don't know what I should do, because it may be extremely rude to ask the other one (it makes it seem as if I favor one over the other) but I really dont want an awkward letter from someone I rarely see...What should I do or say?
try to get in touch with your counselor. if you cant or it is too hard, ask the other counselor off the record about what to do.If you get along well, she will either write them for you or talk to the other counselor maybe

worth pursuing for sure

At my hs, we had 5 counselors, but some people just got along better with another counselor. I don’t think it would be too big of a deal, but I agree with anatarius, ask the other counselor for sure what she thinks your best option is.
