I got to know my previous counselor pretty closely as a freshman/sophomore, but as soon as junior year started, they switched me over to a new counselor because I go to a large public high school with a student to counselor ratio of something like 1:700 and they needed to balance out the students.
Eventually when the time comes for my counselor to write me a recommendation, I’d prefer to have someone who’s known me for all 4 years used as opposed to just for 2. Is it realistic to ask the administration to switch me back?
