Hey guys, I just had a quick question. Is my counselor's recommendation part of my secondary school report? It doesn't count as one of the two recommendations from teachers form the two different subjects that I have to get nor the optional one, right?

If so, is it okay for me to submit my counselor's rec (part of my secondary school report), a rec from my english teacher, a rec from my physics teacher, and a rec from the coordinator of a volunteer internship I'm doing at a hospital who knows me very well?

Thanks.

No. The Secondary School Report is separate from the counselor’s rec, as far as I know.
Yes.

It is okay, I suppose. But Stanford asks for just two recommendations, so the third one would be unnecessary. Just get two from your teachers.

I just looked at the Stanford admissions website and they state: * “We will accept a maximum of two teacher evaluations.”*

[Teacher Evaluations : Stanford University](<a href=“http://www.stanford.edu/dept/uga/application/freshman/evals.html]Teacher ”>http://www.stanford.edu/dept/uga/application/freshman/evals.html )

Yeah, I looked at that info too, but it was unclear, since under the “School Reports & Transcripts” ([School Reports & Transcripts : Stanford University](<a href=“http://www.stanford.edu/dept/uga/application/freshman/transcripts.html]School ”>http://www.stanford.edu/dept/uga/application/freshman/transcripts.html )) it says:

Secondary School Report Form
The Secondary School Report allows your college counselor or other school administrator who knows you well to tell us about you: your energy and enthusiasm for the life of the mind, your impact on your school community, and your academic strength in relation to that of your classmates. The information gleaned from this form also sets your academic experience in context for us: how many of your classmates go on to attend a four-college, what kinds of advanced or accelerated courses (if any) are offered at your school, the size of your class and so on. This information is important to us as we assess your achievements within your school environment first, and then later within our overall applicant pool.

Doesn’t this imply that whatever my counselor writes is part of my secondary school report, and thus does not count as one of my two teacher evaluations (or the optional one)? I’d prefer if someone who knows for sure replies here, please.

-edit-
Also, they don’t have a “maximum” of two recommendations… You can submit one optional one if you feel that it will add to the others. <a href=“http://www.stanford.edu/dept/uga/site/faq/index.html#faq_2_2[/url] ”>http://www.stanford.edu/dept/uga/site/faq/index.html#faq_2_2
;

It is counselor rec + 2 teacher recs + optional additional rec if you want.
