Does JHU require counselor recommendation?

on a different note, does the score have to arrive by the ED deadline?
I forgot to send SAT2 scores when I sent SAT1 score, so I sent them today..

Thank you

Yes, counselors are required to submit a secondary school report.

Yes Johns Hopkins requires two letters of recommendation - one from your guidance counselor and one from your teacher. In the future, please refer to either the Hopkins Admissions site or the Hopkins Forums for answers to such questions:

Test scores did not need to arrive by the ED Deadline but they needed to be requested from the College Board before the deadline. There is no guarantee that scores requested to be sent by the College Board directly to Johns Hopkins after the deadline will be processed in time of the review of one’s application.

When do application reviews typically start? My scores will be at JHU today or tomorrow.

Actually, a better question would be if applications are typically looked at by the order in which they arrive?

We already started reviewing applications last week. Applications are read in a random order. The date an application is submitted has no impact on when the application will be reviewed.
